Tunisia National Report 2024: Scoring Results of the Regional Index on Violence Against Women and Girls
This report presents an assessment of Tunisia’s national response to violence against women and girls (VAWG) across seven key categories,
evaluating the strength of its legal, institutional, and service frameworks. The findings indicate a high overall level of achievement, with strong performance in legal frameworks, professional capacity of first responders, and State-funded services, alongside variation across other areas. The results highlight Tunisia’s progress in addressing VAWG while underscoring the need to strengthen preventive programmes, data systems, and long-term sustainability of coordination mechanisms.
