The Iraq and Kurdistan Region (KR-I) National Report on the 2024 Regional Index on Violence Against Women and Girls presents an assessment of progress in addressing violence against women and girls across seven key categories,
including legal framework and public policies, standard procedures and guidelines, provision of services funded by the State, data systems and statistics, preventive programs and measures, professional capacity of first responders, and national coordination and regional cooperation.
The report highlights levels of achievement, identifies existing gaps, and provides recommendations to strengthen a comprehensive and sustainable response to violence against women and girls.
