Minister of Social Development of Jordan Wafa Beni Mustafa received Algerian delegation
EuroMed Feminist Initiative was pleased to invite a delegation of lawyers, journalists and researchers from Algeria, to exchange experiences and share good practices on combating violence against women and girls (VAWG) and enhancing women economic participation. They had the opportunity to hear lessons learned from implementing successful programs and strategies that address VAWG in Jordan and improve women's economic participation through a comprehensive, multi-level approach.
H.E. Ms. Wafa Beni Mustafa, Minister of Social Development and Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Women Empowerment (IMC) received the delegation on Sunday 17.11.2024.
She stressed the position of His Majesty King Abdullah II in alleviating the suffering of the Gaza Strip and delivering humanitarian aid, and the medical efforts of the Royal Medical Services, through the "Restoring Hope" initiatives.
H.E. Ms Bani Mustafa pointed out that the circumstances surrounding Jordan did not prevent the continuation of the achievements and steps that began two years ago at the level of the comprehensive political, economic and administrative reform path, and the importance of the outputs of the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System, which was represented by a number of constitutional amendments and the adoption of the parties and election laws, which led to raising the level of political participation.
